Lenovo Flex 5 Chromebook

Lenovo Flex 5 – the best Chromebook for midsize shoppers – typically sells for around $ 400, but it still looks and feels far more premium. It has a sleek backlit keyboard, which is one of the better we’ve used on a Chromebook, along with a physical webcam shutter, front-facing speakers and a relatively good port selection (for the price) that includes a microSD reader and a USB -C port on each side. However, the Flex 5’s sound quality and battery life are not fantastic, with the latter only delivering about five and a half hours of driving time when we tested it.

If mid-range performance is what you’re looking for, the Flex 5 is on sale at Lenovo for $ 479.99 ($ 105 off) with a 10th generation Intel Core i3-10110U processor, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of eMMc storage. Read our review.

Best Chromebook 2022: Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2

Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2

If you’re considering a Chromebook, Samsung’s Galaxy Chromebook 2 is one of the best Chromebooks on the market right now. It’s the first Chromebook to have a QLED panel – which allows for vibrant colors and high contrast – and it offers better battery life than the convertible’s predecessor, which could not even handle it for five hours on a single charge. Admittedly, we were not fans of the Chromebook 2’s plastic feel or its expensive price, but we were happy with the Chromebook in general and liked the bright, vibrant design of the red model.

For a limited time, the $ 699 model we tested is on sale at Amazon with an Intel Core i3-10110U chip, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage for $ 549, which is one of its better prices. You can also take advantage of the same discount at Best Buy and Samsung, both of which offer discounts on other configurations. Right now, for example, the model with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of eMMC storage and an Intel Celeron processor is on sale for $ 399 instead of $ 549 at both Best Buy and Samsung. Read our review.

Asus Chromebook Removable CM3

Our favorite removable Chromebook, Asus’s CM3, is a 10.5-inch tablet that comes with a unique, double-folded support leg and magnetically attached fabric cover. The latter function means that you can fold the tablet so that it stands up like a laptop, or you can fold it to set up the tablet horizontally. The convertible Chromebook also boasts a removable keyboard with spacious keys, a built-in USI pen and an excellent battery that can last for almost 13 hours at full charge. Note, however, that it only comes with two ports, specifically a USB-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack and does not have a microSD slot, which means you are stuck with the amount of storage space you buy. And while the removable CM3 works well for browsing and gaming, it can be sluggish when switching tabs and using Google services like Gmail.

Normally $ 369.99, the Chromebook Detachable CM3 is on sale at Amazon right now with a MediaTek 8183 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage for $ 299.99. While the current bargain price is not the lowest ever – the competent Chromebook dropped to $ 269.99 in December – it’s still the best prices we’ve seen this year. Read our review.

Asus Chromebook Flip CX5

Let’s face it: the Asus Chromebook Flip CX5 is the most expensive model on our list. However, as we consider it to be an excellent device, the high price demands should not be so much of a deterrent. It is a solid machine that can withstand medium-sized Windows laptops, with a robust construction, wide range of ports, live display and comfortable keyboard. All this provides impressive performance and battery life, the latter of which can last all day on a single charge. In our tests, even the CX5 managed to deliver some of the loudest sound we’ve heard from a Chromebook. The only real downsides were the Chromebooks 16: 9 aspect ratio and the touchpad, which can be a bit stiff.

If you’re okay with a smaller screen, you can pick up the Flip CX5 in 14-inch configuration with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and an Intel Core i3-1110G4 processor on Amazon for $ 649.99 instead of $ 699.99, all together – low time. You can also buy it for the same price at B&H Photo and Office Depot. Read our review.

Lenovo ThinkPad C13 Yoga Chromebook

We consider Lenovo’s ThinkPad C13 Yoga to be the best premium Chromebook and one of our favorites. Unlike others – which are often marketed to students or children – C13 is also aimed at adults and professionals. After reviewing it, we concluded that it is the closest to a MacBook in the Chromebook world, with a powerful processor and a solid, robust construction that feels and looks premium. The convertible Chromebook also looks like premium Windows ThinkPads with the same aluminum design, a red Trackpoint in the middle of the keyboard and even a small webcam shutter.

While there are more affordable Chromebooks with better battery life and the 16: 9 screen is disappointing, the C13 boasts an excellent keyboard and a wealth of business-focused privacy features. In addition, it can easily run mobile games and all kinds of other applications, being the first Chromebook to include AMD’s Ryzen 3000 Mobile C-Series processors.

Usually $ 599, you can currently purchase ThinkPad C13 Yoga from Lenovo with 4GB of memory, 32GB of eMMC storage and an AMD Athlon Gold 3150C processor for $ 349 when using the promotional code THINKMAY. Newegg also sells a configuration with 128GB of eMMc storage, a Ryzen 3250C processor and 4GB of memory for $ 468.99 ($ 350 off). Keep in mind, though, that none of the models are as powerful as the device we tested. Read our review.

Lenovo Chromebook Duet 5

It may not be one of our top picks when it comes to Chromebooks, but the Lenovo Chromebook Duet 5 comes with a comfortable keyboard and a stunning 13.3-inch OLED touch screen. It also excels when it comes to battery life, offering between 10 and 12 hours of use when tackling everyday tasks such as browsing, chat and Zoom. The sleek Chromebook does not come with a stylus and yet lacks biometric authentication and works far better as a laptop than a tablet given its larger size, at least in our tests.

Aside from flaws, the Duet 5 is a decent convertible currently on sale with a Snapdragon SC7180 processor, 4GB of RAM and 256GB of eMMC storage for $ 375 ($ 95 off) at Walmart. Best Buy also sells Chromebooks with the same chip, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for around $ 379 instead of $ 499. Read our review.
